Its not needed lode.

When you cross henlei with motoro fx, you will often get some hybrid pups and some pups that look excatly like a motoro.

If two mantilas breed and a "motoro" pup is born, it could simply be because the mantilas are motoro x somethig.

The motoro gene might be very clear in some pups and not at all in others!

Its called dormant genes (ressive). They might not come into expression in the parents but in some of the pups.

I can find and post a text that explains this very well if the interest is there.

Hi Guys,

the buyer from my blue Mantilla pups have found this thread. And now I am here.
My name is Mark and I live in Vienna.

I have buy the blue Mantilla from Christian (Amigo). The come last year to me 29.07.12. This is the Female from the site from Daniel. The Male is normal looking. The first Pup from this pair is coming in dec. 2012, one Female. The next pups are coming in March 2013. 1 Male 5 Female, the next come in Aug. 2013. By the pups in March I have 2 Motorotype. One is dead, whe have a electric problem in the District for 4 houers to long for this female. The other I have save with freshwater chance.

The female was in Aug. 2012 smaler then the male (30cm). She grow very fast and is now 40-45cm. The male is not growing, not much :-)

. Tomorow I became a second female whith 55-60cm. So the site from Daniel is not ok with size 35-40cm for the blue Mantillas, I think they are 60-70cm finish. I build now a tank for the rays 260x200x180cm, so the have the place to grow up.

Is here any other breeder of blue Mantillas or Mantillas, I would need a new bloodline to save this rays for the future.

yes I can show you some photos...... The 2ten female is coming.... very big 55+ to big for the tank, I must finish the finaly tank asap
