Update of my Ray habitat project

Hi all,

Today completed the base of the 2nd level concrete base. Used 7 Meter cube concrete and the pouling of concrete completed in 2 hours time. Here is some photo shot few hours ago.....

Make shure they keep the concrete wet when it's drying, or it might crack. But you probably know that already

Wow, really a massive project. Do you have any idea when it will be completed? Keep up the good work and keep us posted

Hi Lode, Thanks for your advice. i almost forgot that, will go over to shower some water on it now. I estimate to complete this project by middle August. all work is at progress very fast now, and money also flow out so so fast...... hahaha......

Haha, no problem. The weather looks great there. Do you need heating?

Heating is a word not in our dictionary..... hahaha...... today is 36C..... is too hot here.

Wow, you guys over there are lucky, the biggest cost for keeping rays here in Holland is tank heating...

Hi all, few more photo for the latest update, photo taken this morning.

the concrete base of 2nd level tank is ready on one row, as you can see, i make some sky windows on this so that some sun light will go to the bottom tank.

the center of this 2 row of tank is the filter compartment of 1.2m x 20m x 1m, it will be walking path too. will walk on top of this filter.

the 2nd level will be with all 4 side with 15mm glass, and on top of this 2nd level tank, will be covered with 15mm tempered glass left with 2' window for access into the tank. so you can walk on top of the 2nd level tank, and look the ray from top. the ray may place themself upside down with this setup, nice view to look at their bottom, lol.

I plan to make 2 rooms directly on top of this glass. will be my future office and rest room. my future special guest can sleep in one of this room too. ;-)

These photo's give a real good impression of the size of the tanks. Looks like it's going to be fantastic!

How are you going to attach the windows/steel frame to the concrete exactly? What kind of filter is it going to be in the middle?
